Description

Proper frame preparation is very important. The HTR-1B combines reaming and facing of the head tube to create a perfect fit for most sizes of head cups. The HTR-1B comes complete with a 33.8mm reamer, and four different size pilots, (29.8mm, 30.0mm, 33.8mm, and 36.8mm). There are cases when a reamer is required to clean out or increase the diameter of the head tube. Most times however, facing of the head tube for good cup fit is the objective. In this case, reaming is not necessary and the pilots can be used in place of the reamers to keep the tool straight and create a faced head tube. The unique part of the HTR-1B is the quick-release, quick-adjust feature. The bottom portion can slide off and on easily without the long threading process. This portion of the tool can still be fine tuned while in use. The tapered centering cone unit rides on a bearing for extra smooth operation. All cutting surfaces are top quality and extra sharp.
